Of course sometimes an author can throw me for a loop and then I'm just reeling and so shocked and loving it, but I don't expect that every time. I just need to connect with the book emotionally to like it.

Netflix doesn't help though because there are some shows that I watch on there and watch a whole season at once. Right now I'm watching Bones, Doctor Who and Sherlock. And I'm waiting for Heartland to be put on there..lol. I still seem to get a lot of reading done though, somehow. I like to alternate TV and reading nights..lol

I agree, it feels like the author has put in a lot more thought into the whole world. I'm always excited to see a map because I don't think I've hated a book yet with one. I'm currently reading Crown of Midnight and was pouring over that map a bit when I started, evne though I thoroughly checked it out when I read Throne of Glass.
