I thought nobody would be able to beat Kristen Stewart, but ... may I have them both? And lots and lots of puppies?

I don't even like tomatoes, but this was written with so much enthusiasm, that I will try the recipe nonetheless. I'm ready to reconsider my world view, people!

BETTER DROWNED THAN SORRY

new favorite expression!

also great: sorry for not knowing all the words you have for being underwater forever
oh, Ariel. Cutie. <3

This piece came just at the right time, I'm currently reading The Tempest for my Shakespeare class. From now on I'll be imagining Prospero to slightly look like Count Olaf.
(Is he supposed to evoke this impression or is that just my imagination?)

I'm currently reading my first Saul Bellow novel, and let me tell you: You don't miss anything valuable.

(Sadly I am kind of unable to leave books unfinished, so I will just slowly and angrily make my way through it...)

Ok, so, on the one hand I am thankful for this post and all the comments which taught me a lot about creepyness - I never stumbled into one of those guys. My most creepy experience so far was that some 40-ish man approached me (21) on the street, and suggested if he might lick my arse & between my legs. Also, he wanted to marry me and have children. D: D:

But, here's the "on the other hand" part: I am also super confused. The main thing I want to talk about with people of _any_ age is either literature or my writing / their writing, because reading and writing is basically anything I do. So, how do I tell the creeps from the ones who are genuinly interested in talk about writing and take me serious as a person?

(This question sounds super silly, but I'm serious. I'm really not good with people and the fact that I would take some (not all, by far!) of those quotes above as compliments (ie if somebody says my work has promise) worries me a little... Send help! [And socialising skills!])

I never finished any Jane Austen novel, but I smile fondly and knowingly whenever they are mentioned in a conversation.

(I cannot even explained why I did not finish them. I did not dislike them or something - there simply were other books I liked reading more at those particular times. Will tackle "Northhanger Abbey" in October, though, bc it's supposed to be kind of mock-gothic and therefore halloweeny!)

I think we need Toast t-shirts with "This Blow Job represents Syria".

At least I know that I need it.

(Or: "What even is the Self?")

Gosh, actually I have to study for an exam right now...but, well, I shouldn't have checked out The Toast.
Now I will spend the rest of the night all swooning and goosebump-y, getting emotional about her poetry again, instead of focusing on medieval commerce... Thank you, Toast. <3
