Ouch. I am really sorry you had to go through all of this before you found your husband April. My husband died when my daughter was just 3 and she has been really lucky to have the support of my late dad, my brother and her male cousins. I never realised just how lucky until I read this. Bless you. I admire your honesty and the openess of your heart.

YES. YES. YES. Might I add to these the joy of being a parent driver on the field trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze on picture day. Despite countless reminder notes home about the need to provide a second set of clothes for the kids I find myself packing dainty girls in frilly dresses, white tights and shiny party shoes. Needless to say they looked NOTHING like that on the muddy ride home.
