Georgeless Mary should have moved to the Village and had a glorious queer life.

One time when I went to get a haircut, I made an awkward collage of Ellen Degeneres and some boy from a Lands End catalogue. Other than that, the movie version of Idgie Threadgoode and Jody from "Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain."

Whenever we get in the car, my Dad says "Contact!" and waits for me to say "Contact!" back (I think that's a NASA thing?)

Also, when I was in college he routinely mailed me frozen meat. One time he sent me a pre-cooked ham. I thought that was kind of crazy, but then my friends came over and picked it clean, so it turned out to be a good gift!

Milo and Otis. All of my friends love it and we've actually gotten into fights about it. I think it's a) boring, b) cutesy in an annoying way, and c) genuinely unfair to the animals in it. They seem distressed to me!

Actually, I think Tina fits more into that triumvirate with Bobby and Martin. Misunderstood, sensitive, and helplessly themselves.

I barely have words for how much this article delighted me. Are you going to do "Fried Green Tomatoes" one day, or is it just too gay already to bother?

Very interesting! I work at the Museum of the City of New York and we've had a show up since February about graffiti in the city in the 70s-90s and one of the few shortcomings is the lack of woman artists, though we do have some great work by Lady Pink. This is a great analysis of why graffiti would be especially relevant for women. Hope you get to turn it into a book someday!
