Thank you for writing this, and thank you to The Toast for publishing it. Good writing about the recovery period after abuse, estrangement, the entire tailspin-inducing experience of inadequate support, is so necessary and often so rare. (I've had some published myself about my own history.) I hope things go well for you, and I hope to read more of your writing.
