Oh, Jeannie, I love this post. Let me count the ways....

You know what was a little bit goofy? The flashback at the end of season three, where Damon talks to Elena and we discover that he met Elena first. He was WAY too human in that scene. Not at all like the Damon we first met in season 1. I felt like it wasn't very believable. It was like season 3 Damon flashing back and taking the place of season 1 Damon.

Anyway - even in season 1, when he's messing with Vicki on the roof and makes her think Stefan is the one who bit her. When he erases her memory, he's very sweet about it. Even though he was just being a maniac.
