Reading how to explain autism to siblings reminded me of when I was a child minder, I was looking after a child with downs syndrome who used makaton to communicate, when the other children asked why she didn't talk I said it was because her ears didn't work properly, they all then stared at her ears, I could have explained better, I think #familyfun@_karendennis
