If I wasn't already insanely excited for this book... Everything I hear about it just sounds so incredibly AMAZING!! I've been in such a huge reading rut lately (hence my lack of blogging...or anything, really) but I might turn to this one to get me out. You've inspired me. ;)

AHHH, your bookshelves!!! They are absolutely STUNNING. I recently got a new bookshelf in an attempt to free up some space... but I still had to double-stack them on the shelves, haha. I'm SO excited for A TORCH AGAINST THE NIGHT--I loved the first so fingers crossed the sequel will live up to my expectations. :)

Oh my gosh, I know right?? There have been *so* many great books out lately... and I've been in a terrible reading slump. On the other hand I've been getting into graphic novels lately--just about to start the Saga series, actually. I've heard wonderful things about it so fingers crossed I'll love it too. (and thank you SO much for all the support with FRAYED--I really, really appreciate it. :))

I'm so glad you had a good time, Jeann!! (I THINK I saw you in the crowd at one point but I wasn't 100% sure it was you, and you know, social anxiety...) Will Kostakis was such a great witty/hilarious host, right?! I'll admit one of the reasons I wanted to go to the morning session was because it was hosted by him--I absolutely loved THE FIRST THIRD. I'm actually a Greek Australian, and I don't read about many characters of the same nationality, so it definitely has a special place in my heart. Soo jealous I couldn't make it to the fantasy session--I had to leave right after--but it sounded brilliant. Hearing Jay Kristoff speak in particular would have been amazing! Looking forward to seeing your haul. :) :)

I'm so glad you liked these ones, Jeann! Can you believe I still haven't gotten to them yet!? I know--shame on meeeee. ;) It's one of those series that I keep telling myself I'll get around to reading eventually . . . and yet I still haven't gotten to them. Which is a shame because I LOVE his other works a lot. Lovely reviews!

I'm super super excited for this one!! It looks like everything I love in a fantasy book, and I really liked Amy Tintera's writing style in her REBOOT duology. Although I do usually prefer more solid worldbuilding, I'll give this one a chance. :) Great review!

I'm sorry you didn't like this one much!! I think I COULD like it, honestly. I'm one of those weird people who doesn't mind a bit of info-dumping, as long as it's interesting and is relevant to the story. And I DO really like that cover...

Yaaay, it looks like you've had a great reading month!! Good luck with searching for a house--I can imagine that would be stressful. And woooooow, look at those books! Do you know if STARS ABOVE has/will be released in AUS in paperback? I haven't seen it around in bookstore... and I just thought that was odd. Have a lovely month, guys!! :)

Congrats again on the radio, Jeann!! How incredible!!! And ooh, both of these ones sound really, really great. I'm particularly excited about STARS AT OKTOBER BEND. I adore lyrical writing, so it sounds right up my alley. I'm less sure about steampunk: I don't seem to have good luck with those books, though.
