Love how you belted the vest! Thank you for linking up!
I love that we both went random this month! I was and still am weird about sharing it but I've gotten better at just blurting it out as if everyone blogs. Because practically everyone does anyway, right? I also share it almost as soon as I meet someone so that they've just always known me as a blogger! I've never had a cherry limeade thingamajig before.
My favorite thing to bring to lunch was a thermos with either chicken noodle soup, pasta with butter, or mac and cheese. Obviously health standards were a bit different. Anyway, my Mom (or my Grandma since she watched me when my Mom started teaching) would heat the soup really really hot on the stove and put it in my thermos for lunch. I'd eat what couldn't fit in my thermos for breakfast. It was the best! And it stayed hot. Makes me want to go get a thermos for the memories since I can obviously microwave things for lunch at work.
It's so funny to me to hear people say they've never been to the beach or can't go often because they don't live close to one. Funny only because it reminds me of how much I live in my own bubble sometimes and forget other people's situations. I live about 30 minutes from the beach so I can go whenever I want, although admittedly I don't go as often as I'd like! Looks like everyone had a great time!!
Lol pretty much everything you said is true although I can't speak to the cupcakes. NYC is smelly especially in the heat when the smells just roast and percolate. And it sounds like you might have been there on a trash day in that part which is also an especially pleasant time. Chinatown and Koreatown are seriously smelly neighborhoods. I'm a big people watcher and living 20 minutes away from Philly and 90 from NYC gives me plenty of people watching opportunities. Working in NYC isn't all that glamorous when you have to hoof it through those smelly streets with the smelly people in all kinds of weather. I both hated and loved having to go to meetings there. Loved because I could usually get them to put me up in a hotel and I could play. Hated because of the grind. Yuck. I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit!
Love this look! I'm such a weirdo and my favorite cuts of shirts are sleeveless button downs. They just work so well in all seasons! Thanks for cohosting!
I really enjoy that you managed to write a whole post about your nails and toes. That's impressive. On the losing tails topic: dancers tend to lose toenails too but I must be blessed with really strong toenails because I never lost one ever even though I danced my whole life and was on pointe around age 10 and never through running. So I have a super toenails.
I was planning to do a half in april but running in the great northeast in the winter is not easy so I think I have to postpone it. I'm not a fast runner but I like to play with my speed when running which you can't really do while training for a long distance. so it will be hard at first but all your speed work will help! Thanks for linking up!
I was never a bridesmaid either. I'm someone who has just a few really close friends and so far none of them have gotten married. I was a flower girl when I was 6 and I'd honestly be fine if that's the first and last time I'm in a wedding. That stuff is expensive!
