When my teenager was about the same age as the Princess we started to (try) to teach him about being "self sufficient" and playing independently. When I walked by his room one day and asked him what he was doing, he told me he was being "self efficient".

Unfortunately we got such a kick out of it (and other kidisms) we started using it in place of the correct term. Now I catch myself all the time using "self efficient" in meetings, emails, etc to other adults who have no idea what I'm talking about. Oops! :)

So very true, all of it. I had around 10 months with each, and learning to spend the day without them is almost as world changing as inviting them in in the first place.____Congrats on wrapping the first days--I know you'll thrive. All of you
