I love it too. And thank you for this. I'm honored and humbled to have brought you out of hiding. You rock, M. (But then, you read the essays. You already know how much I think of you.) xo

Thank you, Michael! I'm honored. (And since I don't know what a blog follower actually is, I'm pretty sure I don't have any... which is, of course, WELL below 200.)

There is music in your ramble, m. (Seriously, I read this twice just to hear it. "It’s like sand in my shoe, or a log in my eye. It’s the primary meme of the PR wing – the 99% thing.")

Love the realization you had breathing into your hips. I've never had such focused attention from an instructor, and now, I practice at home, but I bet my experience would be different... the love magnified. Or something like that.

I've never experienced a pet's passing first hand. Or anyone's I guess. I hope, when I do, I do it as gracefully and full of love as you did.

This time, I clicked. Holy cow I am in love with Larry and his Flask. They were even better than my coffee this morning and that's saying something. They're smart, crazy energetic and so, so talented. I'm gonna go find more of them. Thank you, Michael.

As for my Saturday, it was awesome. It even involved music, though not live; amazing, hilarious, insightful friends; homemade veggie pizzas, great red wine, and poker (with The Boy even). And, just to be clear, there are few things funnier than watching me try to play poker (complete with a cheatsheet so I don't forget which hands win). So... I'm only a little jealous that you got to see Larry and his Flask. (I'm lying. I'm a lot jealos. But thank you for introducing me!)

p.s. I didn't win at poker, but my loss was truly spectacular.

Thank you back, Andrea. And this, "That feeling in the pit of your stomach because you’re taking the initiative? It’s excitement, not fear. So go for it!" is golden. Just what I needed to hear.

I love that you said that about you and your husband. Me too. It's actually unusual I think to talk to someone who maintains eye contact. It's unnerving. Which means that doing it while complimenting someone would be extra powerful. Okay. I'm trying this tomorrow.

I will post it on my blog too, but for all your beautiful commenters, I'm too excited to risk they miss the hilarious new pitch video! Even if you can't afford to donate, watch. You won't be sorry. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/landedgentry/...

I think it's important to note that the top 1% haven't gotten richer because they're smarter or because they work harder or because they "made the right choices," unless by that you mean that they chose money first and therefore no longer have to worry about it. Ever. (Points you have made, I know, I'm angry.)

I had this infuriating discussion with someone who does believe that the Occupy movement is driven by "freeloaders." When I brought up the ways in which the rich have gamed the system and the politicians in their pockets have helped them do it, he had nothing convincing to say... only that no one he knows has time to occupy Wall Street.

It's infuriating. I know people who did everything they were supposed to - went to college, got their degree, bought a house (because you know... real estate was the safe investment) and now they're out of work and can't find new jobs and live in houses they simply can't afford to sell. One friend is a lawyer. Another is a management consultant. Another is a programmer. I could go on and on. It makes me crazy, the misrepresentation of Occupy's supporters.

I'm glad you're making noise.
