We all have different personas. There's probably more than you're actually noticing. Most people act differently when around different sides of their family, or with their in-laws. Different groups of friends see different sides as well. Sure, there is overlap. It's like looking in a fractured mirror. Each fragment only shows a portion, and there is overlap between them, but they're all still just pieces of the original.
