They have tests like this in Canada too, but I don't think my son is obligated to take them. He generally refuses testing of any kind anyway.

We too had some difficulty getting our son diagnosed. When we went to the doctors, he'd say hi to everyone in the waiting room, which on the surface isn't a sign of autism. But after a few more visits, the diagnosis came at age 5.

And your pic of the cars. Both me and my son did the same thing. I guess for you a diagnosis of an ASD would mean extra help right? I hope things go well for you guys.

Listen. Pokemon is one of the best games going. I've loved this game for a long time and the DS versions are great. Cards are tricky but the video game is easier. And the creator has aspergers, so could you ask for anything more.

This time of year is full of anxiety for kids and parents alike. After reading other people's concerns online, it makes me feel even luckier that my son's school is generally pretty good. My son is also in the GenEd classes and he too has 1:1 EA help. And he can leave the classroom anytime he feels overwhelmed.

Jacob seems to improve every year, so we're hoping for the same this year, but we're ready for anything. Because Asperger's, and ASDs in general, are very unpredictable.

My wife has twin sisters, both with cerebral palsy and they too, dealt with bullying. And the honest truth is that no one should be made fun of for having a disability.

Now they are in their late 20's and both are probably better off then some of their childhood bullies. It's strange how things like that work.

I had no idea that parents of autistic kids were so different from parents of kids with down syndrome. We should all accept one another, no matter what. And me personally, I'm pro choice. I know some might not agree with me, but that's my opinion.

And a person's blog is just like their diary. Then can put anything in it they want, and you should feel LUCKY that someone might let you read it.
