I do not have strong opinions about mountain goats. Perhaps I should develop some, perhaps while considering my strong feelings about Jian Ghomeshi.

In other news, a mere 2 days after my kiln was delivered, I found out my favourite stained glass supplier is closing down. This is disappointing and my lizard brain is getting mad though my human brain says "yes but you would have bought it ANYHOW". Still, I am not sure what will be happening. Guess it will work out somehow, probably just by costing me more.

Toasties, I am going on vacation next Friday, as my mother's birthday gift to herself, and it is far away and for a long time and I am excited but also nervous and I am half-convinced my cats will die while I am away and I haven't even made my packing list yet and I hurt myself last week so I haven't cleaned up in a week and I'm still in some pain and a friend is coming home for a funeral so I am going to be so busy and because I don't know what to do I am procrastinating it all and I feel crazy.

I think it probably isn't an issue for your grandmother, and that your father -- as a primary caregiver -- is exhausted by caregiving and doesn't want to admit it because there's a lot of shame in admitting that, so he turned his attention to her addiction because it's safe to complain about that.

Ravenclaw, through and through. My closest friend is definitely a Hufflepuff; my family is mostly full of those two houses, and if I had a secondary house it would be Hufflepuff. (According to Sorting Hat Chats, I am R/R, though.)

Yes! I got a kiln and it FINALLY is ready for pickup so I am trying to organize someone to pick it up next week. Then I need an electrician.

The truth about Archie and Julianna and Michelle and Robert (King) is that I lost pretty much all my respect for them because they had some stupid feud and everyone let the show be warped around the feud instead of acting like grownups.
