I've been wondering about that book since it came out. I read Kitchen Confidential and thought it was interesting, but he seems so nasty now and I'm concerned that the new book will be too negative. I guess he's one of those people I love to hate! What do you think about him?

I didn't read this one, but it sounds like a good book, and the dip looks delicious!

A peanut butter sandwich. I don't eat them every day, but I don't think I'm ever NOT in the mood for one.

I love it when bloggers tell stories and write vivid descriptions of food. This book is full of great tips and I look forward to getting an updated copy of it and working through some of the writing exercises. This was a great selection!

I would serve her my spinach lasagna, which is my go-to company dish. I wouldn't want to make one of her recipes, because then she'd know if I messed up! As for dessert, I'll decide on that when we finalize the date for her visit.

Agonize over what I will keep for myself and what I will give away! Of course, I'll keep the cookbook for myself!

My Life in France by Julia Child is excellent. Non-food-related, I loved Beginner's Greek by James Collins. I really liked his writing style, and the story is fun without being too fluffy. It's a love story, but I wouldn't call it chick lit.
