So cute! My middle daughter wants a frog. We'll get her one in kindergarten (next year).
I'm going to put on my veterinarian hat for a minute and remind you to gut load the crickets if you don't already. Healthy crickets= healthy toad. :)

Such a sweet kitty! I have a soft spot for calicos. :) It's a hard lesson to have to learn at such a young age.

So sorry for your loss. We've had a few pets pass since our girls were born (the problem of having older pets and young children). It's so hard to see them hurt, to see their hearts broken. Just excruciating. We have a book I really like, and seems to have been comforting for our girls with the loss of two cats, "Cat Heaven" by Cynthia Rylant. They still pull it out to read sometimes and like to point out "our" cats.

Oh 3, the longest year ever. My 2 1/2 yr old is fast approaching and we're just starting to see the light with our just 4 yr old. It does get better, I promise. 4 is fun, 5 is amazing, and 6 is actually a fairly reasonable little person. Hold on for the ride. And might I suggest some long drives for a nap if that still works on those hellish days.

That's true. They run in my family, my grandma, aunt, sister and 2 female cousins all had them and they never knew why. For all but one cousin who had severe grand mal seizures, once we were on meds, we never had another. But I know it's scary to have something you can't predict and have no explanation for.

So sorry you're going through this. I also had absence seizures as a child. I started at 10 mos and "outgrew" them (i.e. went off phenobarb) at 6 which was kindergarten for me. I know they really freaked my mom out, even though they weren't noticeable to a lot of people. I hope you find out what is going on and get things settled. I think the hardest part is the not knowing and not knowing what needs to be done.

I hear you. I'm just starting to see the light at the end of a very long tunnel. 3 1/2 seems to be the age they get a little more reasonable. I found I had to hire a regular babysitter to get myself away weekly. I need the break and down time, even if they don't.

Love the ambiguity in this. Well done.

I happened upon this post after reading your Red Dress Club post. Good for you for going. It's so hard to get started. Therapy and drugs have really made a difference for me. I forgot what it was like to feel normal. Normal is nice.
