Why on earth DO we always need a vacation from the vacation? It seems very unfair! Also it seems like the world should have been structured to make this possible for us. We deserve it, surely!

Awwww the dino costume and the dino PJs are both adorable. I have heard from multiple sources that a lot of the trick-or-treating kids this year were just in PJs, which is honestly such a mood.

UGH we are having very similar weather down here -- rain every day, and then highs in the nineties. I am trying to keep perspective and remind myself that it's usually hitting 100 by this time of year and I should count my blessings. On the other hand: Ugh.

Delighted to be confirmed in my based-on-nothing opinion that Where the Crawdads Sing is not that good. I read a Slate dot com article a while back about how she and her husband can't go back to, I want to say, Zambia?, because her husband killed a man there.

I loooooooooooved Because Internet. It was so full of fascinating tidbits! *chef's kiss*

You have been reading a lot of nonfiction; I am so impressed! I feel like my nonfiction reading has suffered lately, and I'm not sure why. Nevertheless I have got a rec for you if you liked the women-getting-bad-medical-treatment book, and it is a Black-people-getting-bad-medical-treatment book! Continue the uplifting book! It's called Medical Apartheid, by Harriet Washington. Scary stuff.

I don't love the book of The Princess Bride but ANY excuse to rewatch the movie is a good excuse. Maybe I will rewatch it today.

March felt like it lasted for 1000 years while it was happening, but now that it's April I'm like "wait where did March go?" Pandemic sure continues to be terrible! :P

Hooray for tiny reviews! I have once again forgotten how reviews work -- I wrote one for the blog on Monday and was like, so proud of myself I might as well have run a damn marathon. Next week: Another review maybe!

Good luck with the bed transition! My nephew is now four and I regret to report that the stuffies situation has worsened in the years since the bed transition occurred. He received a full complement of Mario stuffies for Christmas and ALL of them get tucked into bed with him.
