Julia, I'm so impressed with all of the online connections you've built in such a short time. I have hard time keeping up with Twitter and blog comments. But my goal is to be more like you - commenting on blogs more, tweeting more, building more of an online community too. With so many bloggers out there, I think you're right - building a community is what it's all about.

Your late night call does sound like a great compliment for the breakfasts you serve. That's my favorite part of staying at bed and breakfasts actually. The breakfasts are always so delicious.

I love strawberry season! I think it may be over until next year in Baltimore, but that just means I'll be more excited when the season comes around again. I found a new favorite way to eat them this year too: blended with one container of plain Greek yogurt, two splashes of vanilla soy milk, and one splash of maple syrup. This breakfast shake is so, so good!

Great pictures Alexandra! My Mom loves birdhouses so she would have really enjoyed an event like this. Congratulations also on completing the Blogathon! (Though I think I read somewhere that you've been posting every day for a while...) I look forward to your amazing pictures and learning more about Wellfleet.

This was a fun post to read! I love the description of your blog with its polka dots and bright pink, scaly tentacles. I was picturing a fashionable Little Shop of Horrors (which I guess doesn't have tentacles, but still...). And I agree with you and all the commenters who have said blogging can be addictive. I feel like it takes over my life sometimes. I have a food blog, so I have a hard time letting anyone cook anything in front of me without taking pictures and notes of the process. I definitely need to be reeled in now and then!

These photos are amazing. I wish I was sitting on the beach eating French bread now. I'm not a master baker by any means, but I've been using a simple recipe to make homemade bread, and it makes such a difference in taste. It's hard to go back to store bought now. Is it the same for you?
