Send us some of that heat! I'll trade you for some rain. If it's too hot, we order pizza ;) I looks like you have a great menu for hot weather. We do a lot of sandwiches when it gets super hot. Sometimes breakfast for dinner as well.
Sounds like an interesting read although my first thought was I don't think they could pay me a high enough price to maintain a cricket farm, those bugs terrify me.
I've (thankfully!) never been in a disaster but I think you have a great list up there. You brought up an interesting thought about the school policies. I know that our local elementary won't release the kids during tornado warnings (our main weather worry) but I really never thought to check on the other schools and really should since I have one who just finished middle school and is now in high school.
I have a teenager (13) and a tween (9) and really enjoyed reading this. I'm so thankful that my son wants nothing to do with social media (so far). It is definitely and interesting and trying time but I am enjoying it.
Yuck! I am glad for your sake that it was hopefully a one time event and not the stomach flu which I know was going around in our area about 2 weeks back.
I love your sensory bin! It looks so cheerful. I think you have a great plan in place. If it is not too cold, maybe you could do some outdoor rain type crafts? Actually, just playing in the rain can be fun as well.
I pinned this. I love the idea of the avocado to give it the green!
I pinned your St. Patty's Day Hummus Recipe. It looks good and I love that recipe seems so simple. Freezer meals are the best for busy weeks.
I love Gary Chapman and his books. We actually had the privilege to attend one of his conferences earlier in our marriage. I already have that book but I know whoever wins the contest will not be disappointed.
What a great list! I'm hoping we can get out to a pumpkin patch and corn maze this fall as we never quite managed them last year (my boys are older and we were busy with sports last year).
