April, you got it "just right"--Collette's stories just keep getting better and better! I love her laugh-out-loud humor and the hijinks her heroes and heroines experience in their search for a happy ever after. But they do eventually reach their HEA and her stories are very satisfying indeed if you love historical romances, especially the Regency period. Thanks for the post! jdh2690@gmail.com
Love Love Love Jennifer's western romances!!! So glad she is continuing to write them. :-) Thanks for the post about her books and the Montana Men series. jdh2690@gmail.com
I don't know what it is about the word "lass" as spoken by Scottish, kilted men, but when they address a woman as "lass," I just melt inside. It sounds so endearing...and sexy. Just saying . . . jdh2690@gmail.com
I love the "marriage of convenience" trope in historical romances. They fail miserably because the hero and heroine end up with happy ever afters! :-) Which is as it should be. Love to read stories like this. jdh2690@gmail.com
I am so enthused about this story of a strong, feisty hereoine and the Scotland Yard inspector. I expect there will sparks galore, along with some clashes of will between them. A fun romantic romp with some intrigue...just my style of story! Thanks, Amanda. I bought it today but can't read it until I complete a couple of other books and post the promised reviews. I gotta hurry though, 'cause I don't like to wait long to read something I'm excited about. :-) jdh2690@gmail.com
There's red hair in our family too! Maiden name Logan, supposedly of the MacLarren clan, from near the Isle of Skye. I'm going to check out your Allie Mackay stories too...I forgot about your alter ego... Thanks for your responses.

I forgot to mention that I support the local charity (SPCA) in our city of Sacramento. Their facility is overcrowded and needs helps desperately. Thanks for asking.
Hello again, Sue-Ellen! Curiosity question: In the southern U.S. it is common to find folks with two names who are called by both names, not just the first one. Perhaps I've missed this personal bit about you, but I'm wondering if you are from the south? My first and middle names are Janice Jean and I have a southern girlfriend who is the only one who calls me Jannie-Jean. :-) Now to the point of this blog post. You are definitely a gal after my own heart. The simpler lifestyle, shabby chic (I adore shopping in thrift shops), classical and new age music (some folk music too), a habit of reading historical romances (mainly Scots/Other Medieval/Regency/Georgian), and I am most definitely an animal lover. Our home is called the Dog House! :-) It is ruled by one seriously spoiled rotten Yorkie named Maggie. All our human children are off on their own now so Maggie is our only at-home baby. And I have been an animal rights proponent and animal shelter supporter for years. I feel like I really "know" you now...and I really love your stories. Thanks for this post. jdh2690@gmail.com
Wow, Robyn! I found out something new about you on this blog stop: that you studied sociology in college and that your main emphasis was social deviance! Now I understand why the "Ripper" series you began with The Secrets of Mia Danvers. Fascinating series, by the way. :-) But I also know now that you had a Legend Hunters series, the title of which doesn't sound familiar to me...so I gotta go check it out on Amazon! I dearly love historical romance, but I also am addicted to historical romantic suspense, of which there isn't a huge amount of "out there." Romantic suspense, yes, but it is primarily contemporary. I like the historical romantic suspense myself. :-) So hello again to you, Robyn! jdh2690@gmail.com
Robyn, it was nice finding out some new things about you, especially that you have a charm bracelet with a book theme. I had a very unique and valuable gold charm bracelet that a grandmother started for me on when I was 16...and she gave me a charm every birthday and Christmas after that. And the charms all "worked" or did something. I'm sorry to admit that when I was in dire straits financially at one time, I turned the bracelet in for what the gold was worth. :-( I really miss the braclelet now. Congrats on your latest release and I'm so glad you're writing so that I can read your stories! jdh2690@gmail.com
