That might be very cool.

No worries. It is totally apparent in your post you are advocating unity. I'm going go to tell my son he is a bridge! I think you're right -- it is amazing how God uses people. My son can't talk or walk or do much of anything as far as personal skills -- but God uses him in wonderful ways....as He does with all of us when we let Him. Thank you.

The center aisle...this is very interesting and the division is often true. But I am picturing the small country church my family and I attend. Every Sunday my teenage son's wheelchair sits right in the middle of the aisle so everyone has to go around him. What do you think? When something or someone is placed in the middle does it affect this disunity?

I had to read this one after the first one. Thanks for sharing Maggie. Good points. Publishing is a business. They want and need to make money (I'm guessing even editors and publishers have families).

This is a fabulous post Maggie. Thank you! I love the thought that you aren't a jealous person so you really can't get on someone's case for being jealous (though probably he or she is probably envious). I too don't do the jealous thing. We each are on our own journey. This includes every writer too -- everyone has their own writing journey. One of my favorite children's book authors is Dick King-Smith. He wrote Babe and Spider Sparrow (I named the second because that is one of my absolute favorites) among many more. He wasn't published until he was about 60 years old. Prior to that he was a not-so-successful farmer (his words), a teacher and all sorts of other things. He is just one example.

So, I take encouragement from that. I am 43 and finally I've realized the kind of fiction I need to write - -the kind I absolutely can't read enough of -- fairy tale adaptations. I've thought about writing this or that because it is popular but if my heart isn't in it it isn't going to be a good read.

Thanks also for the taking responsibility points. Very good.
