Damn fine article, absolutely agree with everything. I work for a trucking company and have been a fan of TNA since day one, so this was like perfect for me to read haha.

I've always wanted TNA to just be....TNA, nothing more. ROH should just be ROH. WWE should just be WWE, not trying to be this multi-conglomerate global THING. TNA just needs to be a wrestling company where AJ Styles and his buddies put on great matches with wacky antics/storylines and their own brand of gimmick matches behind it. That's it. That's all.

After reading this, I'm actually happy seeing them go back to Orlando. It'll probably be really good for them in the long run. I just really hope they start doing the live episodes every week, that's all I really ask for.

If TNA goes anywhere with this while those three are over there, things just got even more interesting. Though the casual fan doesn't know about it, sending Bradley and Terry to Japan at the same time as AJ has been a really cool thing and could prosper something even better. I hope they are friends of AJ and there's a faction of wrestlers in TNA posting those videos.

Damn even thinking about changing the entire pathos, ethos and everything about wrestling just is a brilliant thing to write about. Must have taken a lot of critical thinking behind all of this.

Aries is the prime example of how a character model can hold someone back. Aries tried to be a strict heel in his feud with Hardy but they still favored him too much during it, whether you think most of the crowds were "smarky" or not. Without having to play a heel or a super nice babyface, Aries can just go out and play his character and the fans can react the way they see fit - as long as they react and buy into him and the merchandise is all that should matter.

Also, I really like the idea of a heel using the rules for their advantage. Like how FIair ( I think it was him) ref'd a match for one of the Evolution guys and DQ'd their opponent for using closed fists when you're supposed to use opened ones.

I can imagine a midcarder like Kenny King or Fandango for WWE doing the same thing in a mini-feud. Just keep beating the guy via stupid rules, thus giving the other more backing by the fans to finally beat the heel in a no DQ match. Like King could get the other guy DQ'd in the most obvious ways or handcuff him on the outside in order to win by Count Out, etc.

When you're a wrestling writer like me, also one who runs a site, it's impossible to avoid it. Though he'll probably prove me wrong in a bit, I doubt Talon can avoid spoilers and be so excited for each taped episode every week knowing nothing groundbreaking, etc is gonna happen.

I understand the whole "don't read spoilers to be spoiled' thing. Perfect logic behind that. However, when something big happens such as James Storm beating Angle for the title in late '11 it was spoiled within a day or two because literally everyone in the IWC (that watched TNA) was talking about it.

I'm gonna be going into those three episodes knowing that nothing overly important or exciting is going to happen. It sucks.
