During the slow down on the yellow line today my train conductor gave a lot of information re the status of pushing the disabled train in front of us to the platform.

Sarah, please post your comment on the bottom of the post story. We need read people to post real information on those stories since the Post never bothers to figure out what happened: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dr-gridlock/w...

My big question is will the cameras be able to identify a Metro employee should they do something unsavory?

It seems like today the existing camera footage is unusable should it be of a Metro employee...

I hit the pentagon at like 8:40, when I arrived they were just starting to let people through turnstiles - I guess they were trying to prevent overcrowding. Let three trains go by, felt like maybe after two more I could get on, but they were announcing buses at top of stairs to 10th & Penn.

When outside, no bus at top of stairs, but some ways down the station got on 16X, that took about 30 minutes to get to 10 & Penn. It felt like waiting for a train was a better option, but at least the bus was not busy.

Anyway it was a cluster but could be worse.

Content of article changed with no correction - why?

Hello,
Recently a significant number of quotes were removed from an article on Metro “Metro: Miscommunication complicated Green Line chaos last month”: http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2013-02-14/loc...
I can find no mention of the reasons for the change via a corrections paragraph or such.

Please can you explain:
1. If it is the policy of the Post to allow significant re-writing of stories without a correction?
2. Why the quotes were removed from the article?
3. Was the re-write at the request of Metro?

I ask since the quotes from both Metro Staff and Metro Board members were highly critical of passengers and generally made it visible how out of touch Metro Staff and Board is with passengers who no longer trust Metro.

Thank you,
iolaire

Good information, how much did you pay for the freedom of information request?

Those are the south or west escalators, the up escalators are turned off (maybe just most of the I'm on them) and there is a sign saying they will be out of service for some time well they are modernized.

I’d assume someone has looked at the maintenance schedule and figures that since they will be fixed – eta September completion – that they are ok for now.

I wonder if these are turned off most of the time due to the issues? Or if that is just dumb luck.

Sorry, I rushed to support the project before a meeting, now I've taken time to review the site and see zero mention of Metro? Honestly I'm not really interested in supporting a movie about Triathlon's, but will continue my support if it is true to its stated purpose here:
" 1) How low my morale had sunk from enduring the frustrations of the Metro -- showing just how frustrating and problematic riding the Metro can be 2) How this frustration turned into a life-changing event which included developing an interest in the sports of cycling and Triathlon 3) Show my daily routine of training for Ironman Triathlons and even document my competition in my fourth Ironman Triathlon for the world to see. "

I guess what I'm saying is based on the current project description on Kick Starter I'm re-considering my support.
