These are some great tips. Though I don't work, I know plenty of moms who do and they sometimes struggle to find balance in it all. Will be passing these tips onto them.

These are some great tips. I absolutely love meal planning and I don't know how I went so long without it.

What a great list of things to do that are free or darn close. It's always great to have things to do that will keep you occupied but won't cost much or anything.

Wonderfully said. I have said no too many times, but I definitely need to make a conscious effort to say yes. This is especially true when saying no to the things that make me worry, but saying yes will mean my son is learning more independence and life skills.

It's certainly not easy to make the switch to frugal living, but glad to hear your husband has come on board. I went through something similar with my husband when it came to decluttering the house. He was against it at first, but eventually came around and is supportive of it - for the most part, I just can't get rid of any of his stuff. It's a compromise and I'm happy with it. My husband also loves video games, so we have a video game section in our budget - actually we both play them, but he buys new ones while I stick to a few favorites.

This is a great idea. I need to get a bored jar made up soon so I can get my son to curb his boredom without me trying to come up with things for him to do on the fly.

Great information. There is quite a bit that goes into starting a blog, so knowing those things ahead of time really makes a huge difference.

Slow cookers are great! I need to get a new one soon as our 20-ish-year-old one isn't cooking as well as it used to. Definitely a must-have kitchen item. Freezers are great as well. Went years with just our freezer build into the fridge and then eventually got a small chest freezer. It works really well, but if I had to do it over again, I would get a bigger one because after getting all of our freezer meals and discount meat in there, it's really cramped, even though I make sure to use up every inch of it in a well-organized manner. I'll admit that I've never seen a soup maker before. Interesting concept, although I don't mind making soup the old way on the stove for many hours simmering - makes the house smell wonderful.
