i'm attempting to do the couch to 5k thing too! except i've sorta been doing it my own way... the whole 30 seconds thing is way too short for me, so i just alternate by songs. i'll eventually match up with the program...

i'd never heard of these before but they sound great! i'm a big eggs fan, but i haven't had them recently. i'll definitely have to get back on track with them.

mmm carvel cake is so delicious! this year i had carrot cake for my birthday and it was amazingly wonderful. i think it's going to become the new norm. i recently read a review of the book "unbroken" by lauren (laura maybe?) hillenbrand. it's supposed to be highly inspirational and well written (it's going to be one of my october reads i think). if you haven't read the girl who played with fire series, the first two books are incredible can't-put-down-reads, and the third one is pretty good as well. i'm kinda believer in best sellers, which is sorta lame, but i figure they have to be best sellers for a reason! i also really like the book the wind-up bird chronicle by haruki murakami- it's strange but good. he's very eloquent, which makes the book enjoyable (as well as the interesting storyline).

i think this is a great idea! i agree that photographing every morsel isn't helpful. for me, having a food blog gives me ideas for foods that sound appealing, yet i struggle to update my blog as i struggle to eat. it's a hard balance for sure, and one that i think has as much potential for benefit as it does for destruction.
