Thanks for your feedback on my post (http://www.imafulltimemummy.com/post/2010/09/10/What-is-Freedom.aspx).
I'm not keen on doing laundry too... although we rely on the washing machine, but still, hanging the clothes and ironing it after that... yeah... hate that too..
Though I totally agree with you on the full-time cleaning and laundry staff! :D

OK, my boy is about to turn 18 months in a few days time, nothing gross or yucky so far, except maybe digging his nose to make us laugh.
Found your blog through your wife - she linked you up in Mama Kat's post on Facebook. Am going to follow you now! :)

I've always been the type who prefers functionality and practicality over beauty and trends... so I got myself a red bag, which I can use for traveling as well as a diaper bag. Multipurpose! :D

I came from a regular income family (mum is SAHM) and since young has learned not to simply spend money on unnecessary things. Now that I'm a SAHM myself, I'm even more cautious with spending, I go "Do I want it or do I need it?" and then I go "Do I need it NOW or I can wait?" - normally I'll walk away saving my money from buying things on impulse or things that I don't need urgently.
As for credit, I only used it to collect points (we have redemption programs which we exchange points with freebies), I'd be out grocery shopping, swipe my credit card, then settle the statement when it was posted through online banking. So there's never been any incidents of owing $ or anything.

I also have my own blog meme called "Today's Awesome Discovery" which I shared awesome articles or my personal discoveries with a bit of my own comments and feedbacks.

When I was in my high school years, they have this single session school which goes something like your son's schedule, 7.45am until 4.45pm (around there). We get 1 lunch break and 1 tea time break and by the time school is over, some of us had to go for extra curricular activities and there's no time left for anyone to be slacking around (which is quite common in my country) I think it's a good idea for this kind of school session!
And we are all in school uniform since we started schooling, so there's no complaints like school uniform being expensive or not!
Hopping over from SITS FB page! Have a nice weekend!
