It's funny - I have that same refrigerator in black. We bought it a couple of years ago when we moved into our current house. (It was the first major appliance I'd ever gotten to pick out for myself, so it was very exciting.) It took a little getting used to having the freezer on the bottom, but it's grown on me. (I hope yours does for you.)

I actually learned another great lesson from my last refrigerator - The things you *think* you want don't always turn out to be the things you *actually* want. The house we rented before we bought this one was brand new and was furnished with really nice appliances, including a fridge with water and ice in the door. I was thrilled, because I had always wanted one like that. And while it was nice, and convenient to have, I realized the big trade-off was that it took up way too much freezer space, so I never had enough room in my freezer. So even though I had longed for the in-the-door dispenser for so long, when it came time to purchase my own I opted to go in a different direction.

So no, I wasn't at all surprised by the title of this post. :)

Thank you Cheri! I'm flattered to be on your list! Looks like I'll have some good new material for Fun Fact Friday this week. :)

Ironically enough, I read this as I sat here going through all of your recent posts. (I never have enough time to visit all of my favorite blogs every day, so when I have the quiet time to sit down and read I have to try to catch up.) I definitely look forward to coming back again and checking out these posts that you've listed.

I like this album idea. It reminds me of one of my final assignments in a class my last semester of college. It was a "travel writing" class (terrible "teacher" but fun assignments) and for our final we had to put together a portfolio of our best/favorite work from throughout the semester. It was a lot of fun to go back and reread and assess everything, and then to put it all together for display.

Oh, I am SO right there with you! I'm such a TV junkie it's not even funny. But like you said, it's a great escape (which we all need now and then) and it's just fun to get lost in another world for a little while. And (as you know, from reading my blog) I can always manage to take away random little lessons and get all philosophical about them, so that's always fun too. :)

Great pictures! I've had friends that did the Alaska cruises, and they all came back with such great stories and pictures. It's very high on my list of things to do!

And now I have to go check out this whole ABC Wednesday thing...

I'm with you, Cheri! One of the things that I listed in my "dislikes" was closed minds, which I think goes right along with this. When we close ourselves off (to people, or things, or ideas) it doesn't really matter what the reason is - when it comes right down to it, it hurts everyone.

Plus, I just have to say that I totally respect anybody who can quote from South Pacific and Michael Jackson in the same post and completely make it work. :)
