It does foam, and quite admirably, I think. If you get lattes at coffeshops with soy, they can foam it quite nicely! And for the record, Earl Grey tea lattes are my current go-to coffeehouse drink. Mmmmmm, yum! I love making 'em at home too. I think I need to get some vanilla syrup to make homemade ones even better though. Or perhaps I could make vanilla syrup? Must investigate!

I just use the regular blending blades. If you slowly move the running blender up and down in your cup/glass/whatever you're foaming the milk in, it basically whips air into it, and creates a pretty impressive layer of foam on top. Takes a few moments, and the longer you blend, the frothier it gets! Easy peasy. :)

I don't like coffee, but I love making tea lattes! Strongly steeped tea + slightly sweetened foamed milk=deliciousness. I usually heat up my milk (it's actually usually soymilk, but whatever), add a bit of sweetener & a drop of vanilla extract, and then make it foamy using my immersion blender. Works like a charm every time!

I can't even tell you how many times I went back to your cloth diaper detergent post, because I lost count! We're using your recipe now too, and so far it seems to be working like a charm!

Love this! But I have to dispute your comment regarding feminism. True feminism doesn't exclude what you and I do; feminism means having the right to choose for yourself and not being forced one way or the other or being discriminated against for those choices. (Of course, I know there are people who might disagree with that definition of feminism, but that's what the term means for me.)

We truly are blessed to have husbands who can support us and our families this way!

Well, as you've been talking about this book pretty much forever, I would love to get my hands on a copy! I think I already do a pretty good job with healthy and nutritious eating, but there is always more to be learned! I'll share this on facebook later tonight, when more people will be online to see it. :)

Soda is an occasional guilty pleasure for me. I only buy soda that is sweetened with actual sugar (cane sugar, usually), but I don't want to admit how much HFCS & diet soda I've consumed over the years. (I do sometimes buy soda sweetened with stevia, actually, but that's expensive. Actually, soda in general is usually considered an unnecessary expense, and something I don't buy often.) Ginger ale and root beer are my favorites, although I love fruity sodas too!

I wish we could get together sometime and compare baby rolls. Chubby babies!!

Really?? How interesting! Of course, it'll likely be a long time before I'm entering anything into the fair, but good to know. Will go remove some rings!
