I think I know the context as a citizen better than Wikipedia.

What is that supposed to show?

I want to make something very clear about Greece :

Marriage equality is NOT going to happen under the current right wing government. Mitsotakis is an utterly transphobic fraud that tries to present a liberal image abroad but on home turf he is a very right wing, bordering authoritarian, prime minister leading a party that includes a huge influential far right faction that has already expressed its opposition to marriage equality. It's voting base consists of older, conservative, religious people that he does not want to upset and the New Democracy MPs did NOT even vote for civil unions when the previous progressive SYRIZA government brought them. Only 25 % of them voted for civil unions back then and not even MPs from big urban centers dared to be present to vote, let alone MPs from rural areas.

So don't trust ANYTHING he says. He is a mini Orban in the making.

He cannot even rely on the rest of the parliament to pass such a reform. His party holds 158 seats out of 300 and the vast majority won't vote for marriage equality.
The major opposition progressive SYRIZA has already submitted a marriage equality proposal since the last parliamentary session but it is unlikely to be voted upon. The party holds only 47 seats.
The third party, social democratic PASOK would back the change but holds only 32 MPs itself.
The far left communist KKE is socially conservative and would not vote for it.

Then we have 3 far right wing parties :

The neo nazi Spartans (12 seats), supported from jailed Golden Dawn member Ilias Kasidiaris, whose president already went in an interview to state his homophobic views that gay people should not even hold hands or kiss on the street.
The far right populist Greek Solution (12 seats) who is also very homophobic with an MP of the party going on a live tv show showing the image of a gay couple with a child shouting "we don't want that".
The far right theocratic Victory (10 seats) who's president used his first speech in parliament to attack same sex couples and abortion.
And then the ideologically ambigious Course of Victory (8 seats) led by former speaker of Parliament Zoe Konstantontopoulou whose rhetoric borders left wing nationalism and keeps their mouth shut on social issues such as marriage equality.

So there are literally 2 parties likely to support marriage equality that hold together 79 seats out of 300.

Marriage equality is not coming any time soon. Mitsotakis's words are hollow and supposed to showcase a progressive image abroad. Marriage equality would ruin his big tent approach that includes centrists and right wingers who are the base of the party.

I am well aware he did although Alito tried to dissasociate them in his majority opinion. Not that he is to be trusted. Dark times are ahead for everyone in the US.

A very sad day for the US. Let's hope Obergefell or even Lawrence are not next.

Btw today in Greece the major opposition left wing party SYRIZA officially submitted in Parliament a bill to legalize marriage equality and adoption. It is unlikely to pass given the right wing government that has a majority in Parliament is great at virtue signalling and fake declarations of support for the LGBT community but little in terms of action.

Next stop after Roe and Casey : Obergefell. What stops them from going all the way back to Loving even?

A relieving decision that Breyer decided to retire. He should have done so earlier in my humble view. I hope the nomination process is not too prolonged and that we get a new justice seated before the midterms.

Kast's first round and probable second round victory in Chile is bound to create even more problems to an already troubled marriage equality progress and LGBTQ rights in general. Very unfortunate. I really hoped after the constitutional assembly election Chile was on a progressive track.

Extremely worrying results in Virginia. Here's hoping things turn around.
