Great goals! Reading and commenting on more blogs is one of my goals this time as well. :D

It reminded me of Clue as well, which is good, because I love both the game and the movie. Mrs. Montague was quite awful, wasn't she? Seeing her contrasted with Eleanor makes Eleanor seem a paragon of rationality.

I fall behind on my review index as well. Every month or two, I take an afternoon and go through and play catch up. :)

I can't wait to read this one. Alicia is kickass, and I can't wait to see how she is in "The Twelve" now that she's Super Alicia.

I loved this one, which is strange, because it's not even the type of book I normally enjoy. The characters' interactions really made me think, the depth and care that Koethi Zan takes in sharing the complexity of her characters' experiences highlights the emotional toll and trauma that kidnapping victims experience. (Sorry if that's not coherent, I'm up way past my self-determined bedtime).

That looks like a fascinating book! I love learning more about famous women throughout history.

I always read the negative reviews, mostly because I want to know specifically about spelling/grammar/editing. It's one of my pet peeves when reading, so I like to make sure that it isn't a problem before I buy the book. It's especially a problem with e-books, even with the major publishers.

Hunter is awesome. She reminds me of a scantily-clad female comic book hero whom one wouldn't think was that intimidating until it's too late to save oneself.

I like that this book manages to create a world that's both dark and full of wonder at the same time. London Below is so vibrant and alive!

I haven't read Promises to Keep yet, but I haven't read a Charles de Lint book that I haven't enjoyed yet.

I like the whole science/magic connection. A lot of different cultures had traditions that were considered to be superstitions, but we've later learned had scientific reasons. It makes a lot of sense here, and the idea of nuclear priests is cool.

I'm still not sure I like the lack of a main protagonist, but it's an interesting structure.
