When we had the type of communion with the little squares of bread and lil cups of grape juice passed around, we had to wait a while before we got to eat it. So lil me would squish the bread flat (to represent Jesus dying) then squish it back into a square (because he lived again!)

I am so weirdly conflicted about AoU. When people I'm with criticise it, I'm all "but no! It was aaamazing! I've been shipping Bruce/Nat 5ever! Scarlet Witch! The stuff with the hammer! Yaaayyy!!" but when people are 100% enthusiastic about it, I'm all "Uhmm actually, that whole sterilisation thing? And it was hella obvious that the original cut was an hour longer? The whole thing was a mess!"

I'm starting to think that, instead of watching it as New Canon, I slotted it straight into the Decent Fanfic section of my brain. I'm taking the pieces I like and obsessing over them, and ignoring the rest (slash hoping the directors cut will make things suck less? Maybe?)

I got into LJ late (2008ish? Just after high school, I believe), but I am still so nostalgic for it! I feel like it was 100000x easier to make friends there. And even then, I rather sucked at it. The people I'm closest to on Twitter and Tumblr are the same people from LJ fandom. I wish LJ stuck around longer, cuz I might've actually figured out how to make those really close friendships I always see.

Can we just, as a group, decide to all move back?
