I wish we could find that person...unfortunately, I find fault in all of the GOP nominees. This country can't seem to get it right. The closest we had was Reagan, but he wasn't infallible. The best thing about him was that he wasn't scared to put the smackdown on a country if they wanted to get funky. The current crop is pitiful at best because they seem to promote endless war and a "social conservative" agenda that, in my eyes, is just as unconstitutional as the "progressive" agenda that has flushed us down the toilet.

We are also "proud" of our country...when you give yourself the responsibility of providing for the world, you also accept responsibility for the ills of the world.

Your first five sentences are the single most idiotic things I've read in a very long time, and I used to troll democrat boards. Ron Paul is not an "isolationist" (as if that's necessarily a bad thing) in the way you are describing the word. He was for quick decisive action like you described, and is against nation-building as you also described. I haven't been able to figure out why his words and intent keeps getting twisted like they have been lately and I can only conclude that the neo-con establishment is scared to death of Ron Paul. They require endless war when many of these issues could be handled as you said: Find them, kill them, and go home.

Amen, brother...I'm tired of the twisting of RP's words to fit the establishment narrative about him somehow being a "kook". I guess if he's crazy, we all are.

In my opinion, the whole budget "problem" could be cured if your vaunted Superintendents and other administrators would take major pay cuts instead of always looking for a raise.
