I love getting lost on purpose in a new place! Your experience wonderfully captures the essence of travel - fleeting but special connections, beautiful views, unexpected adventures and often uncooperative weather! ;)

What a wonderful self-guided walking tour! I love the idea of the Pop Brixton food court area.

I love the idea of staying or eating at a guest farm. It certainly paid off in terms of beautiful photos!

It is my personal preference to photography landscapes and cityscapes without people in them as well. I like to focus on the natural or architectural elements rather than the crowds, but challenging ourselves as photographers to capture places in new ways and see things with new eyes is so important, isn't it? I think you did a wonderful job of capturing the feeling of a slow, Sunday in the city. Well done!

I'm sorry to hear you didn't like Bologna. I have heard really amazing things, but so much of our experience of a place is about the one moment we are there. I've hated places other people liked just because I was in a bad mood that day. Arriving after a tough journey can't have been great. I actually felt the same way about Naples - it was too grimy, too crowded and I was too damn hot & hungry. Alas I will likely never go back but I'll always have fond memories of lots of other places in Italy.
