Right, no metal bands ever came from Europe. I had forgotten that Dissection, Behemoth, Mayhem, Carcass, Arch Enemy, Kalmah, In Flames, Children of Bodom, Darkthrone, Gorgoroth, and Dark Tranquility are all American.

Nice list. Shitstorm by Strapping Young Lad is awesome. Although any band with Gene Hoglan is going to be cool. A few more that could be on here are Krallice, Lethargy, Agalloch, Glass Casket...
