The release notes said that the app added "Disqus support". Which basically means "Once the site has Disqus, the app will show Disqus too". If app didn't have Disqus support, it would just keep showing (a locked) IntenseDebate after the switch.

And that is the problem we are running into right now. Blogger is still being updated while IntenseDebate isn't.
We lost over 600 posts worth of comments (both old and recent) a few days ago because of Blogger updating something and IntenseDebate didn't. Since the Blogger engine is hosted and maintained on Google servers we cannot control/delay/deny these Blogger updates.

Disqus support is hidden until later today. Version 1.5.0 of the app will automatically switch over to Disqus once the site does.

The app update should be available through the usual update channels (Google Play or the Apple App Store).
To check if you have the latest version go to the About screen of your app (found on the bottom bar on iOS and the side menu on Android) and check if you have version 1.5.0.

The current plan is to turn off IDB and enable Disqus later in the morning (Blog time), this would be around early evening for the European commenters out there and a bit after midnight for those in far east Asia and Australia.

All subject to possible change of course ;-)

I am ready. While Disqus ain't perfect, it's better to have a comment system that's still supported and maintaned than an as good as abandoned one.

There have been fixes for both these issues in version 1.5.0 of the app. You can use version 1.5.0 to see if these fixes solved the issue on your device. If not, make sure to leave feedback so I can look into it further.

(Once you sign up you will start receiving beta versions of the app through Google Play after a few hours (usually after 4-5 or so). Keep in mind that these beta versions may be unstable. Pre-release versions tend to do that ;-) )
