Very wise words - never judge a crying/screaming child and their parents. Christmas is often a very difficult time for people on the spectrum, especially children. Meltdowns usually decrease as the child gets older, learns how to deal with sensory issues and emotional regulation, and learns how to effectively communicate - so it will get better, in most cases. There is always a reason for the meltdown - a trigger - and once you can identify triggers you can better deal with them. Hope things improve in the next few weeks and you can have a happy Christmas. Shopping centres are hell, aren't they (we avoided them like the plague for years - it is only now my son can tolerate them).
