While some were a stretch, the Sorcerer's Apprentice one really wasn't. If you go back and watch the scene, the music and the set-up is a very obvious reference to it - I suck at references normally, but I caught this one due to being such a fan of the Sorcerer's Apprentice and its music. If you listen, you can tell William Anderson was definitely paying homage to the cartoon, and the animation followed it right along, with the marching books and everything. Still, I agree with you on everything else! ;)

To anyone looking at the comments: read this fic. It's fantastically written so far, and the story pulls you right in. Honestly, since CSB's out of town, the next update still won't be for a couple of days, and I'm practically dying waiting for it. It's a wonderful story, and a great read - seriously, I highly recommend this fic. ;)

Also, a little hint that the author said to those who are worried: "Yes, this is a sad fic. But it is not a tragedy fic. Keep that in mind."

HIGHLY recommended - I can't stress this enough. It truly is a great fic. ;)

Also, aw yeah! More Two Best Sisters - this is gonna be awesome. The animation on the first one was great, and it's always fun to re-watch Two Best Friends Play episodes. Now I get to watch them ponified! Can't wait!

Still, though, there are a plenty out there, but it doesn't matter too much. All you guy bronies are the most awesome people on the Internet, so buck gender!

Dang! That is so cool! To find out all these years later that your babysitter has gone from drawing ponies for the kids she babysat to drawing ponies and restarting the entire franchise, and making it so good it's not only appreciated by little girls, but little boys as well, and older girls and older boys and people of all ages! (That, and she worked on Powerpuff Girls and Foster's, which are also both awesome shows!)

You've gotta love these connections that people manage to find. A very heartwarming story! ;)

(Also, those drawings are pretty awesome. Even if they're not the style we're used to, they're awesome. Shows how much talent Ms. Faust had even then!)

I'm not reading any of these at the moment (working my way through Anthropology and enjoying every second of it) but I might have to add a few of these to my 'to read' list for the future.

Just finished watching the livestream of How to Train Your Dragon.

Towards the very end of the movie, Hiccup is talking about how his people have dragons, while "other places have pets like ponies."
