Thanks for sharing these ideas. As an introvert myself, these come very helpful. It is also helpful to see that one can have quite a significant ministry, even though we are introverts. God bless.

Ron - These are very good points about delegation. With #2 I think you hit the bullseye. Too many times I felt that way like people were dumping stuff on me, rather than delegating. A very subtle difference, but a very important one!

You're right on Ron. I have also seen too many leaders that at the time of making these hard decisions they try to pass them on to the next level down in the leadership or to someone else in the same level instead of taking care of the issue and assuming the responsibility. Your post is a good reminder that leading means not only having the title of leader, but it means that at the times that matter most one is willing to step up and make the tough call.

Ron - I believe you are so right. Latter leadership literature as given a really bad reputation to management as if managers are the "dead weight" that leaders need to carry. As if management was a necessary evil that a leader as to put up with.
I have argued for some time that there are elements of management that need to be part of the leader's toolbox, in the same way, that they are skills of leadership that are needed in the manager's toolbox. It's not possible to create a big divider between the two functions in the organization.
Thanks for the insightful post.
