This is certainly the most beautiful thing I've read in a long, long time. It reminds me so much of my life and so much of all the love I hope will come in the future but feels impossible given the enormity of the love I've felt in the past.

I posted this to facebook with the following comment that really doesn't do Nicole enough justice which I regret but otherwise is apt:

I want to take a serious moment here to reflect on how impossibly perfect the Toast is, and how excited I am to see my friends share their (and let's be real "their" usually means "Mallory Ortberg Possibly-Human Definite-God") articles with glee. The Toast took me out of the dark hole that was Boise, ID last summer and brought me into a new world of misandrist humor and sometimes non-misandrist humor and sometimes just really smart stuff. It is, almost without qualification, my favorite blog on the Internet. Mallory Ortberg is my favorite Possibly-Human Definite-God on the Internet.

If you haven't become a regular reader by now, do yourself a favor and consider it.
