I was eager to read this being a fellow essential oils aficionado. I have a homemade spray (made from rubbing alcohol, tea tree , peppermint and clove oils) that I spray on the mattresses in between linen changes to kill dust mites. Thanks for the room spray suggestion!

What a great list. Totally agree with them all, especially when you point out the kids can't remember the presents they got but they don't forget what they did. We went through a couple of years having a Xmas Day dance-off after dinner (great for the digestion!) and that was a hoot. This year I got a friend to pick up an English Monopoly game as all the ones here in Canada have American street names and locations - it's just not the same! Looking forward to a family game of Monopoly after Xmas lunch and a trip down memory lane. Merry Christmas Cass!

Perfect! I was looking for something quick but tasty to knock up this evening and this fits the bill nicely.

Happy anniversary, I reckon that mention of the vom-a-thon should restore the balance after the vid of you snoring!

Fab idea and simple enough for small people to achieve. But what are candy melts?

You described how I've been feeling to a T. Right down to the preoccupation with some epic misfortune that you KNOW is just a matter of time away from becoming reality. Like you we're on a slow burn, have been for the past year if I'm honest. It's agony. I vacillate between feeling incredibly positive about the possibilities and feeling anxious about coping with the changes and wondering if we're making the right decisions. You lose sight of yourself and find it hard to feel certain about your own mind.

Good luck with your future - and keep those lines of communication open. I'm always amazed by how a bit of frank discussion can lift my mood.

Sounds like a flippin' amazing start to the year - you put me to shame! If my first six months were that productive I'd be happy...
