The Witch of Blackbird Pond A+++, so wish I had read as a child. And Quakerism is definitely one of the options I researched for my partner and I when we became atheists, before realizing we just like to sleep in and go on long walks in the stead of religious services. But I filed it away as a maybe, someday.

This is my very favourite place on the internet. To keep me going I'll have to go back through the archives and systematically read everything, because there might be something I missed over the years. I don't comment on websites in general - this is perhaps one of three. And then my computer crapped out so I didn't know my password and I stopped commenting over the last few months. Yesterday my screen magickally fixed itself, and I can only assume it was because of the sheer too witchesness of the Toast giving a final bow.
(Sansa pictures were the only thing keeping me going after Cute Overload shut down, now I'll have to join instagram or something, because I have a feeling that's where you go to find cute puppies.)
I love the commenters here, love the writers, farewell and I hope I continue seeing your work elsewhere.

If a man got murdered by a woman in it, I think that would be fine with me, not vice versa. Cause you know, MISANDRY and also I like non-gender-role-conforming ladies. Also male ghosts are less scary than female, because I don't think male ghosts can channel the same amount of post-death rage. (full disclosure I do not believe in ghosts)

It was trying to lure people in like the sapient pearwood luggage (discworld) did.

That makes my "not-mandatory-but-boss-waited-until-entire-staff-showed-up-before-starting-so-the-only-way-to-miss-it-was-to-be-super-late" prayers sessions before work look less annoying.

I painstakingly collected the Road to Avonlea Seasons 1-5 over the course of several Christmases. That shit was $$$. But worth it. When I was a child Sarah was my fav and I thought Felicity was The Worst, but re-watching as an adult, gotta say Felicity is one of the best characters in the world. Her fights with Felix were just the best, and the episode where she stuffs her chest to see what she'll look like with boobs makes my heart so, so happy every time.

Yes! For some reason that jezebel article was really enjoyable to me since I haven't heard the adjectives in a really gendered slur context, unlike the noun. I really do think it's how it's introduced. I'm the same with bitch. Love it if women use it (properly), men get the side-eye. If they're used to equate women = bad, I don't like it. If it's used as a general insult/negative or positive emphasis, I generally like it.

Seriously what is the difference between baby-food apples and applesauce? Literally the way to make applesauce is to simmer apples in a pot and then mash them/blend them. Maybe the grownup stuff has added sugar. It's bugging me that this would be considered horrific. A waste of money perhaps, but hardly gross.
