I did read Dorothy Must Die twice, and I really enjoyed it. I know it's not for everyone, but I really liked it.

1. I actually like writing both negative and DNF reviews and positive reviews. I feel like every book I read or attempt to read deserves some sort of a review, whether it's a really long one, or a short DNF review. For me, I like posting both kinds of reviews because I feel like it makes me seem like a real person, instead of just a robot who loves everything that I read. I have all kinds of different star-rating reviews on my blog, and I think I'm going to keep it that way.
2. I'm one of those people that do think that bloggers should post a variety of reviews on their blogs. I hate going on a blog and only seeing positive reviews. I don't know why... I think seeing variation makes me think that those reviewers are more honest.

Very Good Lives is really good, especially if you read it and listen to the speech at the same time! It's worth picking up again and again, especially if life gets you down.
Emmy & Oliver is one of my favorites! OMG. It's just such a cute book! I loved it.
All those Rainbow Rowell books! AHHHHHH! You know I love her, right? Her adult fiction is my favorite, and way better than her YA. My favorite of hers is Attachments. It was just so good, and I loved all the 90s pop culture references. Perfection!

OMG. Your Christmas Eve sounds as eventful as mine! We didn't lose power, but my mom and I were watching TV when something in our backyard exploded! It was so scary, but the neighbors ran to our house to make sure we were okay, so that was comforting. We still haven't figured out what it was, but we think that the neighbors down the hill are cooking meth.
I'm glad that the inconvenient power outage helped you all spend time together as a family, though. That's what Christmas is all about for me - spending time with family. :)

I'd say that two books is successful. I know I can read quickly, but I still take about a week to read a book.

I think that the bones for a good book were there, but there was just so much that was briefly mentioned and then never fully explored. I hated feeling like Wren really needed help and it just never happened. I hated feeling like everything was just one-sided, especially Lucille's relationships and friendships. I just felt like too many things weren't tied up.
I heard that there's a sequel. Maybe those loose ends will be explored, and I really hope they are for the people who liked this book. I just know that I won't be reading it.

I already know that you know I loved this book just as much as you.
I love what you said about Morgan's mom. She touched me so much when I read this, and I kept thinking that this might be the book that changes the way that YA authors utilize parents in books. I just loved that she was concerned with Morgan, Ben, and her ex, but that we were able to see that she was human too.
