Nato was created to continue the war against the Soviet Union, which first failed in 1920, then when the UK empowered the Nazis to destroy the USSR. Immediately after the USSR saved the UK, after Hitler went rogue and attacked the UK, Churchill immediately turned around and planned to reinvade the USSR, even using former Wehrmacht soldiers. That plan never got off the ground, but then Churchill declared the Cold War the following year with his Iron Curtain speech.

Nato was created as part of the 'Containment policy' to 'keep the Americans in, the Germans down and the USSR out'. There was never any need for Nato, since the USSR was recovering from its massive losses in WWII.
Now, Nato, by occupying many former Soviet Republcs, 'invaded' to the extent that Hitler did, just sneakily. The goal is still to destroy not just the USSR, but Russia itself. That has been the UK goal all along. With the US happily marching along.

End NATO and the world will be better off, no more Iraqs, Afghanistans, Libyas, Syriaas, etc.

Since the US breaks treaties at will, how can 'legal guarantees' and binding agreements make a difference?

Buchanan has it wrong re famines in Ukraine. The reality is that Russia had suffered numerous famines for centuries. Collectivizing the farms took away the power of the creepy landlords who treated the peasants as serfs. The workers and peasants kicked them off the land. So they in turn became traitors to Russia by inviting in the West and Japan to prevent the USSR from developing. That civil war abetted by the invaders and the White Russians resulted in serious disruption of food production.
And rightwinger Buchanan then blames the Soviet Union for the problems Buchanan's forbears created in the first place!

Following collectivization, the USSR was able to increase production of food, which allowed it to industrialize and defend itself from the Nazis (and the Japanese).

Add to that Ironoutlaws good point that Russia does not have troops threatening Ukraine. IF Ukraine attempts ethnic cleansing of Donbass, that will cross Russia's Red Line.

I get her emails. In fact there is a lot of contradictory evidence. What we do know, is that the Chinese and Russian vaccines are based on traditional methods, using a weakened disease vector (virus or bacteria) to alert the body's immune system to take action against the more powerful actual virus.
Also, re cures, much has been suppressed, even though seasoned MD's advocate cheap available medicines.

But the really egregious issue IMO, is that while authorities push for vaccination, they don't talk about public health and how to build a healthy immune system. Most people who get really sick or die, are in poor health due to diet and bad habits. Instead of 'banning people who refuse vaccination', why didn't they ban junk food all these year, and packaged food filled with untested or proven harmful additives like Aspartame, artificial colors, flavors, etc.
Life expectancies have been falling across the board, yet they've done nothing. Yet now they push vaccines that did not go through the same testing protocols as the earlier ones. Likewise, there are massive conflicts of interest between the WHO and the pharmaceutical companies.

So there are valid reasons for skepticism, all suppressed and demonized.

Likewise, the source of the virus itself is being weaponized to demonize China, which has been the target of numerous biological attacks in the past. While the US has dozens or hundreds of biolabs all around the world that are unscrutinized by the host country.

At least his father warned him, and he didn't listen. But as the article points out, with lousy education, collapsing social structure, massive black propaganda, lots of young disadvantaged men fall for it.

I have a friend who was in both Iraq and Afghanistan but he didn't see combat...most military people are in support roles. So for them, it's a great deal.
He finished his tour and got a job doing the same work --setting up communications networks and got paid 6 figures.

Fortunately in his case he figured out what was going on and now totally opposes it. However, if he hadn't gone in, he'd still be homeless on the streets.

Giraldi has got it all wrong. Biden was only bending down to tie his shoelaces.

This is at the core of it. Well said.
Because they do not deny their children adequate love and affection, as do Americans. For some unknown reason, Americans put their children to bed and then close the door. An iron-clad tradition. Each child lies in bed, imaging all kinds of fears in the dark; alone. They grow up fearful.

And angry I might add.

And then Washington will say that the KGB under Putin (even though there is no more KGB for 30 years) poisoned Biden. Anything to stir up trouble and hatred of Russia.

Putin is just as likely to make Biden appear to be the fool that he is. Putin did not call the USA 'Comrade Wolf" for nothing in 2007. And Lavrov the foreign minister has been just as tough.

I think PCR underestimates Russia. Here's proof: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/5/31/russia-t...

Plus, with Russia and China both in sync, you can be sure that Russia's response will be on point. In any case, it doesn't matter, the media will spin the summit to be anti Russia, whether Russia goes or not.

If Russia refused, the US will say, "you see, Russia turned down our generous and kind peace offer...it's 'non agreement capable (the Russia description of the US).'

And when Putin shows and Biden reads his litany, Putin will both reject it as well as go into his own litany. In which case US media will accuse poor little innocent US, the guardian of the free world, of being mean to beloved Biden.

The best that could happen is that Putin shows up and puts Biden in his place.

Incorrect. While the vast majority of protesters were peaceful useful idiots, there was a core of military professionals with weapons. One police officer specifically didn't use his weapon when be physically assaulted, because he knew, and said, that had he drawn his gun, the armed faction would have drawn theirs.

Peaceful protesters don't scale walls in military camo.

This is reminiscent of the Ukraine Maidan, with a core of fascists to do the dirty work under cover of a peaceful demonstration. Likewise, we know that those people were given 'tours' against Congressional pandemic rules, to be able to seek out objectives, including offices of people they intended to harm.

It did fail, in this case because stronger forces within the US military shut it down. That does not exonerate Trump, who egged the protesters on, to say "hang Pence".

Abby Martin and Brian Becker, Max Blumenthal, all reliable voices talk about this.
