I got pregnant around the time my husband almost lost his job. I freelance. I looked into health insurance options for my (growing) family and was told that because I was pregnant, I could not purchase health insurance. Can't do it until the next part of the ACA kicks in in 2014. This had me very stressed and I subsequently had a spontaneous abortion. I've been told stress is not related to spontaneous abortions, but... Anyway, so an anti-ACA ad featuring a pregnant woman would make me all ragey.
Very interesting read. I think this might be one of the reasons why I like Ruby in Once Upon a Time so much. In addition to the "wow, Little Red Riding Hood *is* the wolf" factor, I like that Red/Ruby learned that she can control the wolf, and that she is both wolf and human.
I'm dismayed by how many fans seem to think it wasn't rape. (Though I don't know if I have scientific data. Just from googling around.)
