It is true that in general,TOB devotees (I am one) tend to overemphasis the sacramental nature of marital sex. My husband and I are NFP teachers and trained in the TOB and I agree that this overemphasis might be there to counter the free love attitude. You're so right when you say that to sneer at the Catholic teachings on contraception etc is about not liking sex or thinking sex is dirty IS definitely missing the point. Sexual freedom DOES spoil sex itself and what sex was meant to be. Excellent post, Anthony!
Great post, Anthony! As a conservative Catholic, I have never been comfortable with this practice whenever we are visiting an unfamiliar church for Mass. I also agree that holding hands is a special act of intimacy reserved for special closeness. Mass is not about us, it "should be directed toward the proper worship of God." Thanks...
