I call protest on 3 -- that is, there's a typo in it "tool" for "toll", and the directions are more like "Pass through the toll booth, wander for half the book, and only then decide something without a good reason."

Missed 9 and 10, and only half got 3: I was in the right book based on 'tollbooth', but was thrown off enough by the question to be unsure what exactly you meant (I was trying to fit it to the Doldrums, which are more immediately after the tollbooth).

"Action Fop" is great, and somehow brings to mind Eddie Izzard's self-description as an Executive Transvestite.

I saw that moment, and all I could think of was Rick Moranis in SpaceBalls.

"Now let me correct you on a couple of things, OK? Aristotle was not Belgian. The central message of Buddhism is not "Every man for himself." And the London Underground is not a political movement. Those are all mistakes, Otto. I looked them up."

Who looks stupid now, huh?

I swear I know women with only sons who actually reacted this way (well, who seem to think that the most pressing gender issues are how schoolteachers don't recognize that boys can't be expected to sit quietly in class like girls can naturally). It's bizarre.

I don't know how to get super fresh eggs either, barring getting them from a farmers market. I was more explaining what the issue is, rather than giving helpful advice that could be acted on.

But they are usually pretty fresh when you get them from the supermarket; it's when they've been in your fridge for three weeks that the whites are really runny. Still absolutely fine to eat, but not the same as they were.

I'm good with minor culinary tasks. Literacy, on the other hand, isn't a strong point.

You probably didn't actually want egg-frying advice, but what you need is fresher eggs, so the whites are less runny. Also, more butter in the pan, and medium-lowish heat, not very high. When you've got old eggs, they still taste fine, and there's no problem with eating them, but nothing's going to keep the whites from spreading all over the pan.

I had a high school history teacher who was a dead ringer for Ursula. She made a kid drop out of school by pointing and laughing at him for referring to Europe as "in a very real sense, the center of the world." (Don't worry about him, he ended up doing very nicely in the financial sector). She was awesome.

And were genuinely terrifying for some reason. When my own kids were reading Roald Dahl, I picked it up to check, and I still got a real twinge of being disturbed by the Knids.
