It's such a different ride the second and I'm sure subsequent times isn't it? I think you learn to block out the noise of everyone's "helpful" advice too because you trust your instincts more.

Thanks for visiting :)

Oh how I miss going to the gym! I plan to go back to boot camp this week because I just love the extra energy and me time, plus a little toning would be a bonus.

Do it because you love it, the rest will come soon enough :)

Thank you Eleise. There is nothing more deflating than having someone throw it in your face like that and I find it most insulting when it is close family that have been through it themselves but have selective memory or enjoy seeing you struggle as some kind of payback for their own experiences. It is so simple pat someone on the back and can make such a difference!

Thank you for your comments Mandy, it can feel so isolated when your friends don't understand what it is like and don't offer you the support you deserve. I hope they are able to experience the wonderful and exhausting life of a stay at home parent at some stage because as hard as it can be at times, I feel sad for those who don't know the joy. All we ask is for a little respect and recognition.

Thank you Chrissie, it seems many of us feel the same way, but I hope that it improves in the future :)
