Hi! So this is a secret but I feel OK posting it on your blog from 2010 because I am confident no one I know will come across it. I'm running the Portland Marathon this year! I saw your Twitter convo with Emily about it, and I've been looking for some race recaps! I'm using it as a training run for Richmond in November (long story but I signed up for this when I thought I was moving out there, the plans fell through, I didn't want to waste my entry, and I get to stay in a hotel suite with my family who lives in Seattle).

Anyway. I hate rain and this sounds miserable, but overall it doesn't seem like it was too bad aside from the big hill at 17. Did you have any crowd support with the rain?

Hopefully I get better conditions this year. Congrats on getting your sub-4 there!

I never heard of this place but now I really want to try it! $11 for Matzo Ball soup is something I would try once, for sure. The falafel crusted salmon sounds incredible! Disappointed that they don't have noodle pudding though. That's a big favorite of mine!
