It's funny because Swabians (Daimler headquarters are in Stuttgart, I think?) are infamous for being really cheap. You're a shareholder in Daimler but feel the need to take buffet food home with you. It's just so perfect.
Yes! Love it. We make score sheets and require everyone who comes to our house to write commentary and scores. I'm pregnant right now, due on May 6th, and clearly have my priorities out of order because I'm legitimately concerned that I'll have to miss Eurovision because I'll be in labor.
I still regular listen to "Popular".
Yeah. I'm due in 5 weeks with a baby boy and this was an on-going cycle of weep, recover, repeat. Not to mention that I went to UT and walked that path many, many times. I can't even imagine.
ehmm, I don't live in Frankfurt and have only been there for flying, but the area is known for its green sauce (Grüne Soße). .. so maybe eat some of that?
The longer you stay, the more normal it will all become! I moved abroad just over 5 years ago and I spend significantly less time now thinking about how ridiculous it is that secretary office hours are 2 hours, 3 days a week and only when there's a full moon or that everything is closed on Sundays. (Well, it's still kind of irritating.) It wasn't the plan at first but here I am, still occasionally teaching English classes, now with a master's degree, husband, and baby on the way. It's funny when suddenly you look around and everything has become so 'un-foreign'.
Yes, it was exciting to finally have that money to not have to stay at a hostel but a real, if shitty, hotel room.
It felt like riding a wave reading this, switching between tearing and laughing (the cowboy boots/silver shoes). Thank you for sharing.
I mean, I can try, but there is a good chance I might yell out "accio boner!" from time to time.
Yesss! Great point. My husband has already said he's on board to do what I want to do, so, I mean. I guess all we need is the baby part now.
