Ohhh I love this post, gave me all the feels. Our grannies did get a lot of things right, didn't they? Even my Mum did loads of these - I wish I could sew and mend things as well as she can.

Oh wow! Sounds like you had a brilliant time! I'm not a huge fan of wrestling on TV either but my husband loves it and I bet that live it is really entertaining. So glad your kids got treated so well, top marks to WWE!

Oh that's so interesting Cass. I have to be honest, I don't like it when parents 'stealth stalk' their children and keep track of where they are, but the fact that you've had a conversation about it and agreed to it with your daughter is fantastic. Sounds like you have a brilliant relationship based on trust, and this allows you peace of mind. I hope that when my son reaches that age we can do something similar (although who knows what technology will be like 6 or 7 years down the line!) x

Ooh Cass, my son is adamant that he doesn't like broccoli (despite the fact that he used to eat it regularly at nursery...). I might see if I can sneak some into him through one of these - they look great for lunch boxes.

Ooh, great post Cass. Totally agree with you on the lunches issue - it's amazing how you can burn through money if you don't take your own.
